Emily Hulme

I work with clients to build them a personal strength and conditioning programme. I don’t believe in marketing weight loss, as personally I think this can have a negative impact on people’s mental health, which should be equally important in any fitness plan. I want to help young women to look and/or feel stronger, fitter, and healthier, without focusing on the scales.

Having trained and worked as a professional ballet dancer, fitness has always been a part of my life. I have worked hard to find the areas of exercise that I enjoy. I want to help you to find a way to stay fit and healthy that is individual to your goals and what you enjoy. A big focus for me within training is form and posture. This stems from my time as a ballet dancer, and it’s something I have strived to include within my own strength and conditioning training and with my training of others. Learning how to perform exercise correctly has many benefits; reducing the risk of injury, allowing you to lift heavier, improving neural pathways, and many more. So as a trainer I will help you to learn the correct forms to eventually allow them to be habitual.

My own view of the role of a personal trainer is mainly as a source of knowledge. I want my clients to use me as an educational tool to understand how to improve their training and how to push themselves and achieve the goals that we will set together. It can be intimidating to walk into a gym and just start a workout, and that’s where I come in. I want to give you the confidence to contribute to the planning of your programme, learn to set your own goals, and know which exercises work best for you. That, to me, is what a Personal Trainer is for. I am eager to meet clients that want to learn from me, work smarter, and have a greater understanding of all the benefits that exercise has to offer. So let’s get started, set those goals, and get on the path to achieving them.
